Adriana Kaegi

Adriana Kaegi (born 17 March 1957 in Switzerland) moved to New York City at the age of 18 to learn the art of entertainment. She co-founded the band Kid Creole and the Coconuts together with (ex-husband) August Darnell and Coati Mundi (both formerly of Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band).
Her contribution helped land the British Music Award for Best International Live Act and such a-list appearances with the band as ''The Tonight Show'', ''Saturday Night Live'', the movie ''Against All Odds'', the presidential inauguration of George Bush Sr., a benefit hosted by Princess Diana (Dr. Bernardo), the 40th anniversary of the UN, a performance at Carnegie Hall with Cab Calloway.
Adriana also sang with U2, Miguel Bosé, Towa Tei, Vodka Collins and created the all-girl band Boomerang.
Adriana has recently made a memoir/documentary film about her journey with that band,〔http://kidcreoleandmycoconuts.com/〕〔http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0434448/〕 and in 2009 released her first solo CD ''Tag''.〔http://www.revengeofthe80sradio.com/?p=493〕
Adriana Kaegi's Dear Addy, Digital Media company, was an early adaptor of video content for the web. Adriana conceived, produced and hosted one of the first interactive live webcasts from New York's Knitting Factory called "Cyber Cabaret" ("Best live web cast" Yahoo and C/Net) in 1998, then moved on to becoming a pioneer in the crossover success of music, style and technology, producing and promoting hundreds of live and on-demand webcasts for major fashion brands and magazines such as Style and Elle covering runway shows from New York, Paris and Milan, which earned Kaegi the nickname of "Queen of Stream".
